3 of the best indoor trees for your home

by Rich Kushner 05/29/2022

One of the best ways to make a space feel lush and lively is by adding indoor trees. While they won't grow as tall as their outdoor counterparts, indoor trees can reach your ceilings and bring your interior design to new heights. Here are some of the best indoor trees to consider:

Fiddle leaf fig

Fiddle leaf figs make excellent statement plants with their large, paddle-shaped foliage. While they can begin small as tabletop houseplants, fiddle leaf figs can grow into full trees up to ten feet tall. As long as you provide your fiddle leaf fig with enough bright indirect sunlight and moderate humidity, it will serve as a stunning focal point in any home.

Rubber tree

Rubber trees are another example of indoor trees you can buy as small houseplants and watch grow to maturity. If you don't want to wait, it's common to find larger rubber trees to bring home and instantly enhance the interior design style of any room. Requiring bright indirect light and consistent watering, rubber trees are relatively easy to care for. Make sure to give the large, glossy leaves a thorough wipe to remove dust and keep them healthy.

Parlor palm

Parlor palms are a staple among indoor tree enthusiasts, and it's easy to understand why. These lush, flowing trees are also non-toxic to animals, making them perfect for pet owners. Keep your parlor palm in a spot with medium to bright indirect light and maintain even soil moisture and this tree will thrive in your home.

I am committed to helping you with your Real Estate needs and I work with a team of agents locally and nationally - so anywhere you have real estate needs, we can help you, and donate to your favorite cause! Some groups my clients have had me donate to are The Humane Society, Smile Train, Wounded Warriors Freedom Station, Second Chance Dog Rescue and Best Friends, to name a few.

For more than 20 years I have volunteered at the Humane Society, doing PFT program (pet facilitated therapy), where I brought puppies to children's hospitals, and Pets with Santa (picture taking with me as Santa, and people would then make a donation). I have also been active with On The Go, a service where I would drive folks who could no longer drive, to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc.
